It gives me immense pride and pleasure to lead the Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department of this esteemed and prestigious institution of this country. The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) is one of the major and principle departments of Sri Ganesh College of Engineering and technology since its inception in 2009.

Sitting squarely in an Engineering Faculty, the Department of EEE is focused on devising innovative, accurate solutions to complex problems, whilst ensuring that the solutions execute optimally. The department’s excellent infrastructure, extremely talented teaching faculty ensures quality education of the best kind.

Thanks to the efforts of our management, researchers, teachers, alumnus and students for their continuous support. We continue to play a leading role in our discipline and are committed towards creating innovative and effective professional graduate community which would vivacious and provide continuous learning.

Department Infrastructure.

Basic EEE.

The objective of this laboratory is to get an exposure on the basic electrical tools, applications and precautions.Different types of wiring used in domestic and industrial Applications. Attending faults in electrical lamp and ceiling fan. exposure on the measurements of voltage and phase using CRO, basic operation and applications of devices such as PN junction diode.

History

Electrical Machines AC.

The objective of this laboratory is to enable the students to realize the performance of AC generators under no load and load conditions. The students get familiarize with the load performance of different types of induction motors and synchronous motors. The course enables the students to understand the predetermination methods for finding the losses and efficiencies of AC motors and generators.

History

Electrical Machines DC.

The objective of this laboratory is to enables the students to realize the performance of single phase and threephase transformers under no load and load conditions. It enables the students to understand the intricacies in connecting the circuit and conducting the experiments. The students get familiarize with the load performance of different types of DC motors and generators .

History

Measurement and Control.

The objective of this laboratory is to enables the students to understand the basics of calibration and extension of range of different meters. Students acquire knowledge about the various circuit theorems using PSPICE simulation and control system oriented MATLAB experiments.

History

Electronic Laboratory.

The objective of this laboratory is to enable the students to understand the volt-ampere characteristics of basic electron devices such as PN junction diode, zener diode, bipolar junction transistor, field effect transistor, and silicon controlled rectifier. The students acquire knowledge about the design of biasing circuits of BJT and FET in order toapply them for realizing any electronic circuits.

History

Microprocessor Laboratory.

The objective of this laboratory is to equips the students with a good knowledge on Microprocessor and micro controller programming and their applications. Besides, the course introduces the concept of interfacing, auxiliary units to the microprocessor and micro controller. By the end of the course, the students will be able to write the assembly language programs in 8085 microprocessor and 8051 micro controller and execute them

History

Power Electronics.

This course is intended to enable the students to understand the basics of trigger circuits required for various power converters. Students acquire knowledge about the operation of various power converter circuits namely controlled rectifiers, choppers, AC voltage regulators and inverters. The course enables the students to do simulation of these circuits using MATLAB/Simulink and experimentally verify the simulation results in the hardware lab.

History

Power System Simulation.

This course is intended to enable the students to acquire knowledge on the programming and simulation of power systems using computer package MATLAB. It introduces Mfile programming in MATLAB for array, matrix operations and plotting of Graphs. By the end of the course, students will be able to develop MATLAB programs for computation of power system components in per-units,formulation of the bus admittance and impedance matrices, load dispatch, load flow, short circuit and transient stability studies.

Mission and Values.

Provide a high quality educational experience to students in a diverse learning environment – promoting the values and institutions of democracy that prepare students to lead lives of personal integrity and civic responsibility in a global society.
Prepare the next generation of skilled and ethical leaders by providing excellent practical and professional education that prepares students to compete in a diverse world market

The World has shrunk into a global village with amazing communication technology. In this scenario , India has braved a global recession confidently with amazing infrastructure developments and is striving to become a world power. We will keep pace with these developments and do our best in our educational goals, making it a Nation building attempt, hand in hand with young men and women with the right technological education and a dream to live by.
In an attempt to create an academic environment where students are continually challenged and motivated to do their best possible work, our entrepreneur fervor will provide practical knowledge and right kind of motivation. This will be a different kind of educational experience with the abiding faith in the individual ability to excel. We believe in nurturing human values and engineering acumen together and will attempt to bring out well qualified individuals.
As an extension of corporate social responsibility, SGCET believes in giving back to the society through a real value engineering educaion that has relevance to the changing India. Towards this endeavor SGCET Strives its best to put forward best efforts of coordination in th
